we won 1-0 at old trafford today but i am not at all happy (come pro-foollier bandwagon, flame me). we won not because of danny murphy's penalty but because man u played sloppily. and remember, man u were without van horse and inspirational scholes.
when i looked at the team sheet, i nearly fainted. carragher on LM, murphy on RM and kewell playing along owen. wat was houllier thinking of? playing 2 defenders on the left flank just to trap step-over boy? well, i guess judging by the standard of our team, we can go no more attacking. sigh...but i felt he shd play riise on the LM and carragher on the LB instead, surely that will give the team a more attacking edge?!
and now we look at the players...owen. was he on the field? perhaps i shd go change my glasses. he was so quiet throughout the game. so different from the striker he use to be. for the entire night, he was well marked by silvestre. and when opponents close down the space, owen becomes ineffective. to be frank, he is nv the player fowler was and will nv be as good as him. his speed and skills never threaten the oppositions. the pro-owen squad will claim that owen played poorly because he lack good service. oh come on, put any decent strikers into man u/arsenal squad and they will also score loads of goals cos the service is there. a really good striker is one who can create chances for themselves, not wait for others to create chances for him. so if owen decides to go, then pls go. go to real m where u can score loads and loads of goals with service from beck, zidane, figo and guti.
moving on, lets talk about steve finnan. why did foolier buy him when we had babbel and carragher to play RB? he looked so ordinary perhaps thats why he shine when playing for a mediocre team like fulham. but when he move on to a bigger team, he appeared mediocre. and is he meant to play as an attacking fullback? oh dear, in wat way can he contribute when attacking? he is slow to come back and for goodness, he cant even pass the ball properly. bring back babbel...at least he can mark down the opponent fast enough. finnan gave the oppenents too much space to run on.
lastly harry kewell...u sure he's that man who use to play for leeds? we got him for 1/3 the actual price and we got back only 1/3 of his actual skills in return... fair enough. le fool had successfully ruin this man's career. duff must be counting his blessings that le fool's not interested in him. every time after a match, i'll wonder if kewell had regrets coming to anfield.
overall, its painful to see liverpool play. we can string no more than 3 passes together and the postioning of the players are awful. either they bumb into each other if not they have to run the extra distance just to retrieve a ball sent beyond them. and baros, pls go. i can see you rotting on the bench. GO...go seek a greener pasture. stop letting le fool ruin your career.
to the sunshiners, hurray we won and we are a step closer to CL. and the good news? Le Fool will stay as boss and come nx season, we will go through this roller coaster ride over again; struggle to go into the group stages in CL and fight for relegation with teams like man c and the bluenose. ynwa, webmaster
